Anatomical Difference between Monocot and Dicot Leaf

Monocot Leaf 1. Monocot have isobilateral leaves. 2. Stomata are equally present. 3. Mesophyll cells are not differentiated into spongy and palisade parenchyma. 4. Two bundle sheaths are present. 5. Stomata are dumbell shape. 6. The stomata are parallel and uniformly divided. 7. The small intercellular space is present. 8. Bulliform cells are present. 9. The Vascular bundles have Sclerenchymatous patches only on the uper side. 10. On the cell wall of epidermal cells monocot leaves have a large deposition of silica . Dicot Leaf   1. Dicot have dorsoventral leaf. 2. Stomata are mostly present on lower surface of the leaf. 3. Mesophyll is differentiated into upper palisade and lower spongy parenchyma. 4. A single bundle sheath is found in C4 plants. 5. Stomata are kidney or bean shape. 6. The stomata are randomly divided. 7. Large intercellular spaces are present. 8. Bulliform cells are present. 9. The vascular bundles are partially or completely surrounded by the Sclerenchymatous she...

Difference Between Exarch Xylem and End arch Xylem

Exarch Xylem   In Exarch Xylem the protoxylem face towards the periphery or present towards outside. In exarch Xylem the metaxylem is present towards inside. Exarch Xylem is present in roots of the plants mostly. Endarch Xylem  In endarch xylem the protoxylem face towards inside and meta Xylem present towards the periphery or out . The later forming metaxylem pushes the protoxylem towards inside and take its place.  Endarch Xylem is present in stem of the plants mostly.
